 My Weekend

On the weekend I went to my dad's work yard to do up his trailer. At work I was bored so I asked my dad if I could drive his spare truck, and he said “yes” so I was happy. 

I got in the truck, put my seatbelt on and started it up, let out the hand brake, put it in first gear and let out the clutch slowly, then I was off. 

My passenger was my cousin Blair.

Blair was trying to get me to go in second gear but I was too scared because my dad told me to stay in first. I acted like I was driving in a DAF truck. Blair had a go and he did a bunny hop when he took off. He's not a confident driver so my brother kicked me out and went with Blair. 

 I had lots of fun because I had hot chips when we got home.

TN healthy gummies

 Step 1: Cut the lemon in half.  

Step 2: Squeeze the lemon in a  bowl.

Step 3: Tip 120mls into the small pot.

Step 4: Add 3 tbsp gelatin into the pot and stir.

Step 5: Add 3 tbsp sugar into the pot and stir.

Step 6: Pour in mould and wait till set, then enjoy.

 

My favourite part was when I was cutting the lemon because when you cut it it feels satisfying.

Going on a call out with my brothers

Today I went on a call out  with my brothers. At 5.45am we got up and went to the workshop to grab a jump start pack and  then headed to Kohukohu because a  mangonui haulage logging truck had a flat battery. It was cold and my brothers got two blankets for me and my cousin.

butter chocolate chip cookies

Today me and mum are making butter chocolate chip cookies.

The ingredients:
180 grams butter, softened the butter.
⅓ cup of sugar,
½ cup of sweetened condensed milk.
1  ½ cup of self raising flour.
150 grams of dark chocolate bits.
150 grams of white chocolate bits.
100 grams of milk melts, melted.

Method:
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, beat it with sweetened condensed milk. Add flour, stir until combined. Add  Dark and white choc bits, mix well. Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls, place on greased oven trays, gently with a fork, bake for 15 minutes until golden.
Drizzle biscuits with milk melts.

They are delicious!

                                                                     

tow truck riding 16.4.20

Today I'm going in a  Tow truck with my uncle. It was very cool because there was a bed. The call out was by my Aunty’s house. When we got there I was in the bed. The bed was very comfy and soft. There was a remote that was the size of my uncle’s phone that lifts the back up and down. And he put a winch on the car. The car was a mitsibishi.

HI Mrs Stevenson

Hi Mrs Stevenson,

this term I have enjoyed lots of things. On Monday we had James who was doing skills with us. My  favourite part was when we were dribbling the ball to the other end of the cones. I was sad because I thought we were playing soccer. The time when we had soccer was at 11.30, 30 mins before lunch.

the minstrel show

At the beginning of the week we had a Minstrel show. 

When we got in the hall there was Mr Minstrel and Mrs Minstrel. 

and Mr Minstrel was playing a guitar. And he was saying 

thank you in a cute voice then he played a few songs and 

asked some  people to go up with him.  The people that 

went up the minstrel would rhyme there name with 

something funny . He told some stories one was about 

life-jackets and how they keep you safe. At the end We 

got to dance and all of the people who went up  got a poster.                                           

                                  

cross country

On Tuesday we went to Johnny Jones farm for cross country. There were 5 other schools there too, the school’s were Pompallier school, Paparore school, Aniwaniwa school, Abundant life school and Awanui school. We have a uniform with our school logo on it they are blue. When we got there we got to eat one thing from our lunch. Then the girls with the number 5 or 6  on their hand had to run. Grace was the first one in this race. Then the boys went. I didn't know who was first. Then the girls with the number 7 had to go for their run. Then it was my turn to run. We started at the top of the hill but before we ran Sir made us do warmups. We had to run down the hill and around the side of the farm. It was hard because I fell over. We had to turn right and go through sand and then between a fence, then run straight, we had to turn left and run straight again. We also went into a sand pit then we had to go down hill. We came across quick mud I think because it felt like I was sinking. Finally I saw the gate to go through to go between the cones and there was the finish line I came 12th place. I was so glad it was over.

Dune Lakes

On Friday we went to Lake Ngatu for the  Whitebait Connection. 

All of us had a ph level tester. All of them were the same they were 7.5.  Next we went up to the tarp and had our morning tea. After morning tea we pulled in the fish traps and we caught one whitebait. The whitebait was 8.3 cm long.

Measurement
